How Much Half Head Highlights

sit down, shut up!

To those who know that I will earn my living as a teacher soon, I can give all-clear: I did not before, in this entry conservative and authoritarian forms of education to the word to speak as the title would suggest. Rather, the strikingly formulated title is also the name of a blog, which I will contribute in Zukuft. It is in principle the German-language version of Brad Warner's blog, a seven-member editorial team which I belong, will in future make it possible. The link is already installed. So Gone Surfing!

Bowel Movement After Umbilical Hernia Surgery

Brad Warner

As it turns the average person probably from a Zen priest? As a bald old (Japanese) man who is comfortable with a quiet voice of wisdom is meaningless? Probably so in the direction. Brad Warner meets this cliche means. The Americans worked at a company, the Japanese B-movies marketed (and, incidentally, was founded by the man who Godzilla has invented), plays bass in a hardcore punk band and has made home a huge collection of plastic figurines of monsters Monster movies. The man is officially Zen master and has received Dharma transmission from Gudo Nishijima.

He has previously written two books, its title, "Hardcore Zen" and "Sit Down and Shut Up" suspect already have, that this is not a Buddhist mainstream literature. In both books there is of course to Zen, with the Zen Wisdom, "which Warner brings to the reader, punctuated by episodes of his life and illustrate this. His writing style, but some of his views differ quite significantly from the crowd of Buddhist literature, which I personally find to be quite pleasant and refreshing. The lyrics are funny and full of spiritual clarity, the sound is rebellious and outspoken. All who are interested in Zen, put the books I to my heart. But especially all those who not interested in it. Because, and here I quote the blurb of "Hardcore Zen": not

This is the same old crap you've seen in a thousand books you do not want to read. This is Zen for people who do not giva a rat's ass about Zen. This is the real deal.

What Does Srep Throat Look L

of sense and nonsense of meditation

Many martial artists to practice in the way of meditation, as this seems to be a practice of the martial arts has a close relationship. One often hears the claim that a true martial artist one could not be without the meditation and you will help to increase the combative performance. I take care of such statements cum grano salis to take.

I think it is in principle problematic, from a meditation as expected some sort of improvement that it was about more concentration, "mental strength" (whatever that exactly), or an increase in the Ki-levels (see previous bracket). Such an expectation has to be logically derivable mandatory prerequisite of dissatisfaction with what is even (or for which one sticks). So understood meditation aims of the present, even a loss somehow better about themselves to form. The mere Thought of getting through and the progress implies the unsatisfactory nature of the game state.

Anyone who wants to improve in this way and expect a positive effect of meditation, which it operates as a goal-oriented activity. The arrow, make sure the will go, but - an analogy from the Kyudo use - inevitably next to it and the essence of meditation is missed. Only he who is sitting without a goal and an improvement idea to take his shot is the one who can learn what makes meditation.

Who says meditation is non-sense, has not so far wrong. To meditate is to run after no goal to look no sense to stop for a moment, a Hamster in the wheel to be. A "work" without "meaning" to exercise and to laugh at himself. To come to

back to the martial arts: Should we meditate in order to fight well? Certainly not. Would I recommend meditation, and that every human being and not just fighters? Absolutely.
