UFC 99 in Cologne
Juhu! Juni schreibe, aber vielleicht even raises the quality of reflection about it because it took a while to process the events in the necessary depth ... I know ... .
After it was prior to the expected heated debates, in which some critics already the demise of the West prophesied that with the introduction of sometimes bloody battles in this part of old Europe was imminent almost inevitably, took the event as scheduled on 13. June at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. The latter was sold out with 12,000 visitors, after two days previously speculated on the television program "Culture Time" about a half-empty Lanxess Arena.
The former was lying injured on the ground through the Ground and Pound his opponent and pulled a laceration to the head which was bleeding very heavily on the cage floor and literally led to the formation of laughter. Stefan but showed an enormous amount of heart and the fight could still decide for themselves.
struggles as described above there are particular to call what the critics of MMA to the plan. First, it is an unusual sport in and sit for the first time, viewers certainly daunting picture, a fighter on the other and see hit on the head. Second, the thinner MMA Handguards call compared to boxing gloves easier superficial injuries to the face produced, which, compared to boxing more often leads to bloody battles. The ability to use elbow and knee techniques doing this one step further. Apart from that MMA is a much safer sport than boxing, which is reflected inter alia in the significantly lower number of deaths. Most of the MMA's critics take such facts but little note in discussion led by emotions. This leads to ban schonmal demands which would be then extended logically to other full-contact combat sports such as boxing.
MMA is certain not for everyone and a discussion of the sport makes sense. However, a minimum requirement that it is out of sides of the critics with a minimum level of expertise.
