The Experts of State for the Environment - shortly Environment - has released a few days ago a study that confirms what many claim NGOs and politicians have long been:
Moving to 100 % renewable energy is for Germany not only from our own force schaffbar technically, he is affordable and safe . It requires k matter extension or construction of new nuclear or coal power plants or other "bridge technologies". On the contrary! This would - according to the Environment - to be regarded as a clear bad investment, because it wrongly put tons of money into future-oriented industries and also would also send out entirely the wrong signals to the population.
In this work, various scenarios are addressed. For example, two variants of the additional power consumption 2050 called, once with significant savings of energy and one without. Also different models on cooperation with other countries mentioned and discussed, for example, a model in which Germany, the Scandinavian countries zusammen Arbeitet.
Jedoch ergibt sich auch hier (S. 25 ff):
Selbst wenn es keine nennenswerten Einsparungen geben sollte, der Stromverbrauch wie erwartet stark ansteigt und sogar der gesamte Verkehr auf Elektroautos umgesattelt wird, deren Strom ebenfalls regenerativ hergestellt werden müsste, selbst dann könnte Deutschland ohne Hilfe von Nachbarstaaten oder den Import von Energie die 100 %ige Energiewende bis 2050 schaffen. Allerdings würde hier die stolze Summe von 81 Mrd. Euro im Jahr benötigt. (S. 28) Eine Summe, die der Bundeshaushalt bei derzeitiger Steuerlage nicht gerade in der Portokasse hat. Allerdings ist dieses Szenario trotzdem wichtig, da es zeigt, dass selbst der Worst-Case technisch sehr wohl umsetzbar ist.
Die Wissenschaftler des Umweltrates betonen (auf S. 76) auch, dass es im Prinzip lediglich zwei Wege zur Energie der Zukunft gibt: Entweder man geht den Weg der konventionellen Energiegewinnung aus Kohle- und Kernkraftwerken weiter und verzichtet im wesentlichen auf den Ausbau der regenerativen Energien im großen Stil, oder man baut eben jene bedeutend und gezielt aus und geht den Weg der 100 % erneuerbaren Energie.
Ein großer Anteil an Wind- und Sonnenenergie lässt sich nicht auf sinnvolle Weise mit einer Stromerzeugung combined from conventional sources.

Ich halte das für eine der wichtigsten Fragen unserer Zeit, wir sollten uns alle dafür einsetzen, dass diese Vision Wirklichkeit wird.
