What Does Srep Throat Look L

of sense and nonsense of meditation

Many martial artists to practice in the way of meditation, as this seems to be a practice of the martial arts has a close relationship. One often hears the claim that a true martial artist one could not be without the meditation and you will help to increase the combative performance. I take care of such statements cum grano salis to take.

I think it is in principle problematic, from a meditation as expected some sort of improvement that it was about more concentration, "mental strength" (whatever that exactly), or an increase in the Ki-levels (see previous bracket). Such an expectation has to be logically derivable mandatory prerequisite of dissatisfaction with what is even (or for which one sticks). So understood meditation aims of the present, even a loss somehow better about themselves to form. The mere Thought of getting through and the progress implies the unsatisfactory nature of the game state.

Anyone who wants to improve in this way and expect a positive effect of meditation, which it operates as a goal-oriented activity. The arrow, make sure the will go, but - an analogy from the Kyudo use - inevitably next to it and the essence of meditation is missed. Only he who is sitting without a goal and an improvement idea to take his shot is the one who can learn what makes meditation.

Who says meditation is non-sense, has not so far wrong. To meditate is to run after no goal to look no sense to stop for a moment, a Hamster in the wheel to be. A "work" without "meaning" to exercise and to laugh at himself. To come to

back to the martial arts: Should we meditate in order to fight well? Certainly not. Would I recommend meditation, and that every human being and not just fighters? Absolutely.

Fight Japan!

few months ago I had Rob Redmonds book "Year of the Chicken" presented here. It is about a young man who leaves his American home to Japan for a long time to run martial arts. There are many other examples of people who leave the Western world in the direction of Nippon to where the training pursue in their combative hobby. Some of these people is Robert Clyne in his Youtube channel "Fight Japan" with short cinematic contributions. forms

While the above issues the focus of the channel, one finds next to the "newcomers" also posts about Japanese fighters. Besides well-known professionals fortunately are also lesser-known "people like you and I" speak up and into the picture. By now, there are in "fight Japan" on 30 items with a variety of different martial arts and practitioner, and a visit well worthwhile. There is a film about the art of Japanese archery, Kyudo, the music of Johann Sebastian Bach accompanied the portrait of the operator of a "Fight Club", an insight into a Muay Thai Gym in Tokyo and more.

Finally, as usual, the link .

Henning Wittwer, Shotokan - The surviving texts and historical studies

Anyone wishing to obtain reliable knowledge about the history of Shotokan Karate, it is not easy. On websites and in karate books are often only very short breaks to find them, moreover, are often riddled by false claims and myths. Some relief in this regard, Henning Wittwer promises with his recently published book Shotokan - The surviving texts and historical studies, in which he deals with "some important points aus der Entwicklungsgeschichte des Shotokan-Ryu" (Wittwer) auseinandersetzt.

The second part consists Wittwer exploring different aspects of Shotokan-Ryu. He focuses on the Chinese origins of the Kata Channan (the precursor of today's Heian kata), the influence of the sword Jigen-ryu to the Karate, devotes an entire chapter to the various kata and ended the book with an outline of the development of Shotokan-Ryu of Funakoshi time today.
As for the lyrics of the first part, they seem very close to the respective original to be translated, which often results in strange ewas German rates, in principle, but the author zu danken ist, da die Interpretation des Geschriebenen auf diese Weise so stark wie möglich Sache des Lesers bleibt.
Auch der zweite Teil liefert fundiertes Hintergrundwissen und enthält teilweise recht interessante and new views and theories about what concerns the relationship of today's Kata Heian and Kanku. Particularly interesting I found the explanations of the origin and tradition of the individual kata and the different ways to classify them. Very enlightening but was also the last chapter, which are revealed, among other things so many contradictions of today's karate concepts to Funakoshi's teaching that the idea of \u200b\u200bbowing to the representatives of today's sport karate courses often before the image of O-Sensei, grotesque appear.
Those who want more or less serious about the history of his karate style, arrives Wittwer monograph wohl kaum vorbei.

Pink And Gold Wedding Colors

Kuro Obi

Im Oktober kommt in Japan ein Film in die Kinos, der mit "richtigen" Karate-Darstellern der JKA (Japanische Karate Gesellschaft) aufwartet and therefore my knowledge the first time the Karate Shotokanryu the main subject of an action film making, "Kuro Obi (Black Belt) from director Shunichi Nagasaki.

As far as can be seen the trailer , the fight scenes are technically well implemented and genre typically spectacular and realistic. The film comes up with beautiful images, as they are similar in productions such as "Hero" knows and promises good popcorn entertainment for karate enthusiasts and those who want to be. The story does not seem to give away too much, but we know about that of similar films like "Ong Baak" anyway. I hope that the stripes run in German cinemas one day, or at least available on DVD is. As soon as I get it somewhere visible, of course, here follows a review.

Karate, Zen and I, Part 2

First of something fundamental to Zen: This is a form of Buddhism, which considers the sitting meditation (zazen) as the most important religious practice dergegenüber connect other Buddhist practices into the background. At this sitting meditation is about the attainment of the much quoted "emptiness", which states that the meditator is sitting without distraction only and thereby realizes the unity of body and mind, but also that of people with the universe (not reached because the Zen doctrine, according to this unity is already there and still only realisiert werden muss).

Furthermore, and here the circle closes my argument, it is on an exercise that serves the attainment of enlightenment instead of an outer (or inner target-related) purpose, not necessary or even desirable that this practice is changed. In other words, Zen helps prevent creativity in karate!

to gain if it operated the martial arts is about enlightenment, and he of the multiple, often somewhat exaggerated promises of salvation, which are often associated with martial arts, think for him it is probably perfectly fine to organize the training courses or eternal Kihon Combination orgies and fight hard. If the goal however is to achieve defense capability, this type of training is less functional. I am of the opinion that the so-called spiritual aspect but in karate actually playing a role, but should not be placed in the foreground and that one should primarily use the requirements of the struggle to justify the training practice, if karate is to be a functional martial art and not a resistant to change anachronism. Thus, the above-mentioned spiritual aspect for me personally but certainly influenced by Zen Buddhism explain the variation of the "philosophy" of the karate I think However, excessive and history hardly legitimized, and the martial arts, it also does not particularly good.
